PASCHAL LITURGY AT CHRIST THE SAVIOUR CATHEDRAL

"CHRIST IS RISEN FROM THE DEAD, TRAMPLING DOWN DEATH BY DEATH AND TO THOSE IN THE TOMBS BESTOWING LIFE!!!" Pascha morning dawned to a brilliant sunlit day at Christ The Saviour Cathedral in Johnstown on Sunday April 23, 2006. The faithful of our Diocesan Cathedral, joined His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas, the main celebrant at the 10:00 am Liturgy, to celebrate the "Feast of Feasts, and Holy Day of Holy Days". "In the Beginning was the Word...." Metropolitan Nicholas Proclaims the Gospel of Pascha.
 

"Exclaim onto the Lord All the Earth Sing to His Name Give Glory to His Praise.." The Cathedral Choir joyously sang the responses to the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy.
 

"Receive the Body of Christ, taste the Fountain of Immortality."
 

The faithful come forward to receive the blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas at the end of the Paschal Liturgy. His Eminence presented everyone with a mini Paska bread and The Very Rev. Protopresbyter Frank P. Miloro, Cathedral Dean offered the festal annointing.
